FREE Flu Shots Available for Kings County Residents
Flu season is almost here. Every year, up to 20% of people in the US will get the flu. Roughly 200,000 are hospitalized each year because of flu complications. With COVID-19, it is even more critical that people get immunized.
Through a partnership with FamilyWize and United Way, Walgreens will provide free flu vaccines to those who are uninsured.
How it works:
Call 211 and let the call specialist know that you need a flu vaccine and do not have insurance. 211 is available 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. Services are available in multiple languages.
A United Way representative will call or email you within 72 hours to get all the names of those in your household (18 years or older) who are uninsured and need a flu vaccine voucher.
Once the voucher is received, please go to your local Walgreens and receive the vaccination.
Identification and proof of citizenship is not required. Vaccines subject to availability. State, age, and health-related restrictions may apply.
